Jessica & Kerrod 2.0

These guys might look familiar to you, you may feel like you have seen me post their wedding before... Well you would be correct. 12 months to the day Jessica and Kerrod tied the knot during the initial craziness of covid last year with a laid back intimate ceremony. This time around we got to do it all again with a dress, more friends, more family and even more love.

We spent the morning at the Mercure, the boys enjoying a quiet drink by the pool and the girls living it up in the room with some very exotic looking cocktails and I cant think of a better way to start the wedding day! The morning rolled on nicely as the last little details came together. Hair and makeup had just finished as the beautiful florals from Malpara showed up. Then it was into the dress and down the steps to do the first look with dad. I love the first look, it's a moment in time when we see dad's emotions as he gets to see his beautiful daughter all dressed up for the first time and this time in particular didn't disappoint. From here we took off to the plantation deck to watch Jessica and Kerrod say I do... again it was just as perfect the second time around. Amanda Medill conducted a beautiful ceremony for these two and as always didn't disappoint. Her ability to bring even more love & joy into a room is second to none.

After the ceremony was done we moved into the family formals then packed up and hit the road to Queens Gardens. It was quite clear from the carpark that love was in the air (inside joke). The golden hour of the afternoon was absolutely perfect, it set the afternoon glow among the gardens to make it a stunning backdrop for these two lovers. With the afternoon over it was easy to see that the night was going to be absolutely amazing. The reception at the Mercure was beautiful, it was an outdoor delight, the decorations were done by Townsville Flower Market and it really set the scene for an intimate reception and once the formalities were over there was nothing left to do but dance! And thanks to Pooles of music that is exactly what everyone did. The night was topped off with some fireworks and just like that this love story 2.0 was over
